Where “el fin del mundo” destroyed a community, a new football turf brings back hope.
A few weeks ago the city of Talca opened the new “La Bombonera” field, considered by local authorities as one of the 10 most important artificial fields in South America.
After the tragic earthquake in 2010 that completely destroyed the Region, a huge project coordinated by private investors, public institutions and Limonta Sport had shaped the future of the city.
The artificial field by LIMONTA SPORT is going to be a space for the whole community, where also workshops will be organized. It will be used by the kids of Felipe Cubillos and Sargento Rebolledo Schools, by Vanguardia Unida Club and Nueva Abate Molina.
The president of the Club, Francisco Cornejo Gómez, has waited a long time for this moment: “I’m proud to have achieved this dream: have a top playing surface for the city, a Fifa Quality Pro field. CD Brilla El Sol has a lot to offer to the community”.
